I find it interesting that our formula for determining what we are thankful for and how much God has blessed us is generally based on comparison. We are thankful for food because so many people are hungry, health because so many are sick, freedom because so many are restrained, family and friends because so many are lonely, and possessions because so many are without.

What if instead of comparing, we received our blessings and sought opportunities to give them away? What if we chose to view thankfulness as a catalyst instead of a conclusion? I wonder how many times we look heavenward and ask God to bless us and He looks right back and says...

“I have. Now what are you going to do with it?”
